The Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (ITBA): The ITBA is the official representative for all Irish thoroughbred breeders at National, European and International Level.  This is an all-inclusive body, representing all 32 counties.

The aim of the ITBA is to promote and protect the Irish bloodstock industry in all matters pertaining to the production, improvement and dispersal of their stock.  Objectives includes the updating, educating and informing of breeders with regard to new developments in the Global Industry by ways of regular seminars, regional meetings, bulletins  and trade shows, etc. To lobby where required at all government levels to protect the thoroughbred herd in Ireland and protects Ireland’s ability to trade and assist in maintaining Ireland’s Disease Free status.

ITBA Expo 2012:  Every two years the ITBA hosts a national exhibition for the Thoroughbred Industry. This Expo is the only one of its kind in Ireland and provides exhibitors with the perfect platform to showcase their products to the industry. ITBA Expo 2012 takes place at Leopardstown Racecourse on 24th & 25th February and will give exhibitors the opportunity to showcase the newest technology, innovative products and services available to the Industry.  ITBA Expo 2012 will attract in excess of 4,000 visitors (free admission this year).

For 2012, we are adding ITBA Exposé 2012 , a fringe element to showcase all the key looks and trends in racing fashion couture and accessories for ladies & gentlemen in preparation of the 2012 Racing Season, both Flat and National Hunt.  We plan to harness the great synergy which exists between the racing and fashion Industries.  Stands will be used to promote Ireland’s home grown fashion industry by showcasing the ‘best of Irish’ across the wide spectrum of ‘must have’ racing accessories.
